St. Peter’s Pontifical Institute, Bangalore is happy to announce that from June 2022, the Higher Institute of Religious Sciences in our Institute will start functioning and will offer to the Laity and the Religious Brothers and Sisters Baccalaureate in Religious Sciences (BRS) and License in Religious Sciences (LRS).

Objectives

These courses of studies have four primary goals:

  • To prepare the laity and of those in consecrated life to participate in the task of evangelization of the secular world in which they live.

  • To prepare candidates to take up professional duties in ecclesial life and in the installation of a Christian sensibility in society.

  • To prepare candidates for the many diverse lay ministries and services to the Church.

  • To prepare teachers of religion for all school levels below the university level.
